Now, we live in a society that defines the individual identity as '잇 : It.'. 'It' is the word derived from 'non-binary’ that resists the gender dichotomy. It is based on a desire to break away from the traditional practice of separating genders into male and female. To a broader extent, the works will not only observe the term ‘non-binary’ in regard to gender identity but will also discuss about the individuals in society in relation to 'it'

현재 우리는 개인의 정체성을 ‘잇: It’이라 규정하는 사회 속에 살고 있다. ‘잇’은 젠더 이분법에 저항하는 논-바이너리(Non-Binary)에서 파생한 단어로, 과거 성별 젠더를 남성과 여성으로 구분해오던 관습으로부터 탈피하고자 하는 것에 기초하고 있다. 우리는 오래 전부터 쟁점이 되어온 논-바이너리를 단지 성 정체성의 문제에 국한시키지 않고 더 넓은 범위에서 조명하여 사회 속의 개인의 정체성을 ‘잇’에 대비시켜 이야기하고자 한다.
